The micro compact home 026 has recently been installed on a beautifully landscaped garden site at Erlenbach overlooking Lake Zurich, Switzerland. The new micro home is all-electric with controlled air conditioning for the bed space and precise monitoring of energy use on a daily basis. The colour chosen by the owner is a recessive tone with a slight golden hue to blend with the dark evergreen landscape and rock garden. The home is used as a guest room and as a study space. Similar to a Japanese teahouse it is also used for quiet contemplation with a view towards Mount Rigi with the Lake in the foreground. A mountain stream runs close by and cowbells can be heard which adds to the calm Swiss life and quality. A ‘pillow window’ has been introduced to enable lake views from the first level bed space.
